Hello and welcome, I’m Makia. A somanaut with over 20 years of experience in the healing arts, specialising in integrative care and sexual wellness. My work lives in the liminal spaces where body, psyche, sex, and spirit meet. The thresholds where liberation, repair, and deep transformation become possible. Raised in a lineage of healers and immersed from childhood in the intelligence of the body, my path has always been tactile, intuitive, and grounded in both scientific theory and soul-led practice.
My journey began early. Hands-on healing, mindfulness, and nutritional medicine were woven into my life after I was diagnosed with ADHD. At 13, I received my first Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki certification, sparking a lifelong devotion to embodiment, vitality, and the study of human potential. Since then, I’ve followed threads of curiosity across a wide spectrum of disciplines. From structural bodywork, somatic therapy, scar tissue remediation, pelvic care, sexology, BDSM, functional nutrition, herbalism, Traditional Chinese Medicine, death doulaship and more. This path has carried me from cadaver labs to hospice beds, from the intricate mapping of pelvic fascia to the terrains of pleasure, pain, resilience, and healing.
In 2020, I relocated from the magical little haven of Nevada City in Northern California to Dublin, Ireland, where I now live with my spouse and run my private practice. My ethos is shaped as much by my continual studies as by lived experiences. A deep reverence for the body as a site of myth, meaning, sexuality, and transformation. And a devotion to guiding others into a fuller sense of aliveness and belonging within their own skin.
Today, I support clients through an integrative, highly personalised approach that honours the unique story each body carries. Whether reclaiming pleasure after trauma or surgery, tending pain from childbirth or abortion, exploring nervous system repair, restoring libido or awakening sexual vitality, I meet each person with warmth, curiosity, skill, and play. No two sessions are alike because no two bodies are alike. Together, we will move at your pace, listening for what support you to feel resourced, whole, and more vibrantly alive.
