Cancellations

The following cancellation policy applies to ALL sessions.

There is a 24-hour cancellation policy.

Cancellations within 24 hours of your appointment or no-shows are non-refundable and require full payment of the session fee.

You may reschedule up to 24 hours in advance without penalty. Repeat reschedules will be cancelled upon rebooking. I reserve the right to pause future bookings and require prepayment without refund if you reschedule more than once.

Emergency cancellations are handled at Makia's discretion — this includes severe illness, bereavement, and other extenuating circumstances.

In the unlikely event that Makia cannot attend a session, she will notify you in advance and offer to reschedule. If you prefer not to reschedule and have already paid, a full refund will be issued.

Thank you for understanding, this policy helps me give every client the highest level of care and presence.

Communication

As a practitioner, I am available to established clients via email, text, or WhatsApp Monday to Friday, 11am–6pm.

Messages received outside these hours will be responded to at my earliest opportunity. I do my best to return all calls, texts, and emails on business days.

If I am taking extended time away, updates will be sent by email or posted to my Instagram.

If you are not yet an established client, please do not text or call. All new clients must book a discovery call via Calendly. Booking links are available on each Services page (Sexology, Sex Coaching, Somatic Therapy, Pelvic Care, and Scar Tissue Remediation).

You are always welcome to email me with specific questions about an upcoming appointment.

Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers purchased through our website or in person are valid for 3 months from the date of purchase. Vouchers must be redeemed within this period and cannot be extended beyond the expiry date.

Vouchers are non-refundable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and may be used toward any eligible service or product unless otherwise specified.

Booking in advance is strongly recommended to ensure availability within the validity period.

Late Arrivals

We value your time and strive to provide the highest quality care for every client.

If you arrive late, your session will be shortened by the amount of time missed. The full session fee still applies.

Clients who are 30 minutes late or more will be considered a no-show and their appointment will be cancelled, the standard cancellation fee will apply.

Please arrive on time to receive the full benefit of your session. If you are running late, send Makia a message to let her know.

Inclusivity

All clients are welcome and will be treated with respect, dignity, and consideration regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, race, religion, socio-economic status, or body type.

Privacy and confidentiality are maintained at all times. Intake forms are gender inclusive.

Please note: my current studio space is not wheelchair accessible and has a set of stairs.

Client Agreement

The information and services provided by Makia do not constitute legal or medical advice. Please consult your doctor before engaging any complementary or holistic healthcare services.

I offer: Somatic Therapy, Massage Therapy, Integrative Bodywork, Somatic Sexology, Pelvic Care, Sex Coaching, and Holistic Health Coaching.

I am not a licensed Psychotherapist or Psychologist. If you feel you need additional emotional or mental health support, I am happy to refer you to a licensed provider or work in tandem with your existing care team.

Ethics of Care

All sessions are carried out by myself, Makia Williams-Mullen, therapist and practitioner.

I do not diagnose or treat illness, disease, or physiological disorders. I do not prescribe medical treatment or pharmaceuticals, nor do I perform the functions of a medical doctor or primary-care practitioner.

Clients must accurately inform me of their current health status and keep me updated on any changes to their health or wellbeing.

By booking an appointment, you give full permission to facilitate an intake interview, therapeutic treatment, and post-treatment protocols ensuring the highest standard of care.

Both client and practitioner will be fully present during each session and never under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Sessions may be cancelled or terminated at the practitioner's discretion.

If I am not qualified to perform a service physically or emotionally, I will refer you to the appropriate specialist.

Any illicit or sexually suggestive advances or remarks will result in the immediate termination of the session and all future bookings, with no obligation to return payment.

Hygiene

Please arrive with the highest hygiene standards appropriate for receiving treatment.

Let me know in advance if you have any active infections, illnesses, contagious conditions, or health concerns that may require modifying or declining your session.

I work with clients who have auto-immune conditions or are undergoing immune-compromising treatments, If you are unwell, please be considerate of both my wellbeing and that of other clients.

Please also note: I and some of my clients have a strong sensitivity to synthetic scents perfumes, cologne, and scented lotions. Please refrain from wearing these to appointments, as they can trigger migraines and headaches.

Privacy & Data

Your privacy is of the utmost importance to me.

I am committed to the highest standards of ethical practice in relation to confidentiality, this includes respecting and protecting your personal information at all times.

Any data collected is used solely to provide my services or products to you. All personal data is held responsibly, in strictest confidence, and in full compliance with GDPR Article 8 of the EU Charter.
